FAQ

Question – I am going from wideband (25 kHz) to narrowband data (12.5 kHz). Will I still need to meet the FCC's data equivalency rule? Answer – While the FCC gave an answer of "yes" at IWCE 2010, as of November 2010, the FCC has amended its position to "no", and intends to reflect that on a narrowbanding website that it is creating. You must meet the data equivalency rule if you are operating a data system with a bandwidth in excess of 12.5 kHz.
